The madness of celebrity wedding hysteria is hotting up! How excited are we about the gorgeous weddings coming up in the next couple of months? We have our very own James Packer and Erica Baxter to be married in France, Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria to marry her basketballer prince Tony Parker on 7th July, and of course Penny Lancaster will make an honest man of rocker Rod Stewart later this month.
I’m having trouble keeping up with it all! Here is the latest report from The Daily Telegraph’s Fiona Hudson in Cap d’Antibes.

JAMES Packer is believed to have booked out two of the most exclusive and expensive hotels on the French Riviera for his extravagant $6 million wedding later this month.
The top two hotels in the region yesterday confirmed they had been exclusively reserved for an individual they refused to name.
Australia’s richest man is expected to wed model and singer Erica Baxter some time between June 16 and 23, with celebrations lasting several days.
Staff at famed celebrity haunt the Hotel du Cap Eden Roc, on the coast between Cannes and Nice, confirmed it was completely booked by a single, super-rich client during that period.
They said the venue was preparing to host some “very special celebrations” mid-June, but would not reveal the host’s name.
Further west along the millionaire’s playground on the shores of the Mediterranean, staff at the Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrat said an unnamed individual had also booked out their hotel for several days during the period of Mr Packer’s anticipated celebrations.
Local chauffeurs revealed they’d been approached on behalf of an anonymous client to be on stand-by to drive passengers along the spectacular coast to towns including St Jean Cap Ferrat, Nice and Antibes.
A flotilla of yachts, including Mr Packer’s monster Arctic P and his 50m Mangusta cruiser, are also expected to help ferry guests between venues.
The Arctic P, which has left Sydney, is a regular visitor to the Mediterranean at this time of year, when the Packer family traditionally takes a European summer holiday. Hosting guests at a huge marquee for Wimbledon is another family ritual.
Speculation is mounting Mr Packer and Ms Baxter will conduct a ship-board civil ceremony on one of their boats to overcome the French requirement of a 30-day residency for couples who are marrying.
Pamela Anderson wed husband Kid Rock on a yacht in St Tropez in similar circumstances last year.
The Packer nuptials would be far removed from the almost public affair of his previous wedding to Jodhi Meares in 1999, which was held on the grounds of the Packer compound in Bellevue Hill for 700 guests.
Nice-based Natalie Tapp, of the company Wedding Angels, predicted guests would be in for a spectacular affair.
Ms Tapp said the most lavish weddings in France featured fireworks, magicians and other spectacular entertainment.
“It must be someone special for that to happen,” she said.
