If you know your little bundle of joy is a boy and you are happy to announce it to the world, your options for a boy-themed baby shower are immense! Here are a few of our favourite ideas for a baby boy themed baby shower:
Colour Combinations:

For little boys, we love chocolate and eggshell blue. Match your stationery, decorations, cake and favours to the colour theme of your choice.
Decorations:

We love the idea of decorating your party room with tiny blue and white onesies and booties hung up with clothespins and pegs. Event designers Amy Nichols Special Events, San Francisco decorated these floor-to-ceiling bay windows with this idea which served as a cute backdrop. After the party, the mum-to-be got to take them all home. How practical and gorgeous!
If your budget doesn’t quite stretch this far, try spacing out the clothes line with blue paper lanterns which look terrific and are really inexpensive.

Onesies and Booties: Try Baby’s Got Style or Bonds Baby Suits at Zodee
Stationery, Invitations, Thank You Cards and Place Cards
When a guest receives their invitation, this is the first chance you have to show the theme of your baby shower. For our chocolate and blue theme, we love these invitations from Alannah Rose. You can equally use fill-in stationery or make your very own with the gorgeous range of scrapbooking and paper-craft supplies that abound.

Party Ware and Table Ware

It’s really difficult to find lovely party and table ware for a baby shower in Australia and New Zealand. We’ve been searching far and wide for fun napkins, plates, cups and decorations to help create a lovely theme for any event that isn’t too cutesy. We’ve found a new range called in chocolate and aqua dots which is only weeks away from being available at Pink Frosting’s Baby Shower Shop. Otherwise, you can decorate with plain white and crystal (the best you have at home) and use chocolate and blue polka dot ribbon to add character to your napery and table settings. Tie little ribbons around the stems of your champagne flutes and use the ribbon as a napkin ring.

Games and Memories

Baby Shower games needn’t be all about nappies and dummies. Why not have guests create a memory book for Mum and Bub? Take a polaroid picture of each guest, give them a card in the theme of your event and have them write a piece of advice or memory on the card. You can then attach these to a chocolate coloured pin board, which can serve as a lovely memory board well into the future.
Baby Shower Cake

Cupcakes are always a favourite for any party, and these sweet little chocolate base, blue iced cupcakes with blue and brown dots match our theme perfectly! Easy to make with some food colouring and a simple base chocolate recipe.
Baby Boy Favours

And finally, send your guests home with a some fun favours. Our favourite new favours are the personalised water bottle favours, which come with a label in the blue and chocolate theme. To match, try a chocolate coloured hand fan and attach some personalised aqua ribbon with the message of your choice.

I hope this gives you some great ideas for a boy-themed baby shower!
Happy Celebrating!
