This wedding dress made me smile from ear to ear when I saw it and even though the wedding was held in LA and we’re an Australian blog, I HAD to share these spectacular wedding pics with you. The bride, Kelly Devoto shares how she found the gown on Offbeat Bride:
Kelly says: I got my dress in downtown Los Angeles at this huge dress shop called “Trendy Too” (lol). They sell dresses primarily for quinceaneras and proms.
The brand is Mori Lee, and my dress was part of the prom collection from a couple seasons ago. They only had one of that particular dress at good old Trendy Too, it was way too big for me — but luckily my grandma is an amazing seamstress and worked her magic on it.
This was the first and only dress I tried on. I just knew it was THE ONE!! The dress was the first thing I got for my wedding (besides the groom, of course) so once I had that, I picked out all the decorations to match the 3 colors of the dress: bright purple, electric blue, and honeydew melon green.
The details of the gown were then complemented throughout the day – from the purple tulle decorated wedding ceremony site to the gorgeous flowergirl tutus. Thanks Kelly for sharing your amazing vision and fun.
I am so besotted that I think I want to renew my vows right this second in my own peacock prom gown!
Happy Celebrating!
Kathryn

It goes to show how wonderfully proms dresses can complement a wedding.
