Halloween isn’t celebrated in Australia and New Zealand, so we don’t spend alot of time organising dress-ups, parties and decorations for this holiday. However, it’s fun to see what our friends in America are up to and use some of these ideas for a spooky or haunted house themed party - perfect for adults and kids alike!
Here are some of the best ideas for a spooky or haunted house party I’ve seen this year, all by the Queen of Scream: Martha Stewart:
And for a more girly celebration, I’m loving the Goul’s Night party theme over at Hostess Blog:
I’m completely in love with the glittered gourds!
Happy Celebrating!

I know it’s not a big deal here, but we celebrate it with my two boys - aged 8 and 10 - and they have a ball dressing up, and playing ghoulish games with their mates. Ellen.

I hate to disagree, Australia certainly celebrates halloween, especially the suburb I live in, more and more houses are joining in! Have you seen the shops with all the decorations and costumes available, we’re certainly catching up with the States and Canada. We go all out to celebrate halloween, we have a great time decorating and my 7 year old daughter along with my 8 year old niece have a halloween party every year with a few friends from school coming over, then we all go trick or treating together… safety in numbers!

That sounds wonderful, Christy! Perhaps we’ll have to “Pink Frosting” Halloween for Australia next year! Have a ball tonight!
