Getting married on the Easter long-weekend is a wonderful idea for so many reasons.  The weather is usually spectacular (aren’t Autumn weekends the best?), the leaves are turning rich shades of fall colours and everyone has the weekend off work, so there is virtually no excuse not to travel and enjoy a festive wedding.  I was going to put together an Easter inspired wedding board myself, but I just received this gorgeous board from our friends over at Wedding Chicks.  Photographer Heather Ahearns has done a spectacular job of capturing the vibrant elegance of a green and chocolate garden themed wedding with gorgeous little love birds as a motif.  Enjoy and allow these images to inspire you:

The little birds nests on top of the cake are spectactular!  I had never imagined using them in this way.  You can buy these in Australia here.  The tins are also a gorgeous favor idea, with a personalised sticker and two simple ribbons – gorgoeous!

I just adore the new little bird houses at Pink Frosting and think these would look amazing with this theme.
