Today the Pink Frosting team have been very busy styling a beautiful wedding for Caterina and Joe at the Rydges Lakeside Ballroom in Canberra. A big Italian wedding for 500 plus people, with 50 tables, thousands of candles, hundreds of ostrich plumes and hundreds of fairy lights… this wedding is a stunning example of what can be achieved with a little ingenuity, a splash of creativity and lots of expert hands! The budget was tight, but the creativity went wild. Here is what we achieved for Caterina and Joe…
Tall vases were stuffed with clear cellophane, filled with water, wrapped with two ribbons (latte and black) and laced with a rhinestone buckle.
Vases were placed in the centre of a mirror circle, with crystal votives, pearl ball candles and diamond scatters surrounding the vase.
Large ostrich plumes were plaved into the vases. With 50 of these tall ostrich arrangements around the room, the effect was so dramatic.
And, finally the ceilings were finished with exquisite draping and paper ball lanterns - a Pink Frosting classic!
I can’t wait to see the professional pics. I promise to share them as soon as they are ready in a couple of weeks. In the meantime…
Thanks as always to the amazing Pink Frosting team – Kathy, Loretta, Roger and Samantha – for creating a magical wedding for Caterina and Joe.
Happy Celebrating!
Kathryn

the budget was not as tight with 50 tables to decorate averaging 250 dollars per table.it was an expense.that was not including chair covers and hall decorations such as ceiling drapes back drop etc.
the team did a beautiful job and i could not thank them enough for making my day relaxed and magical event.

[...] The best way I have found is to fill the vase with a support filler that looks good, such as plain old cellophane scrunched up and then filled with water (this creates an amazing ice-like effect) or with water pearls and secure the feathers as low down [...]

Wow Kathryn, I would not call $250 per table ‘working to a tight budget’ …
