As the weather isn’t quite as spectacular as I had hoped in Auckland today, I’ve been trawling the web to find some images of New Zealand weddings to inspire. I found these amazing images by Neil Crowley of Rebecca and Joel’s wedding last year which capture the beauty of the environment in New Zealand as a unique backdrop. These breathtaking images are absolutely inspiring. If you can’t make it across the Tasman, it reminds me that using your own environment can be such a stunning backdrop for your wedding photographs. Whilst you may not have such stunning mountain ranges at your ceremony site, your local beach, park or even backyard will provide unique portrait opportunities with a clever photographer.
I am even more excited now about tomorrow’s wedding fair. Fingers crossed for some more Kiwi wedding inspiration.
Today’s post and my trip to NZ is also good timing for reminding us of ANZAC Day today. I missed this morning’s ceremonies at home (we live not far from the War Memorial in Canberra) but we have been reflecting on the importance of today as we walked around Auckland’s picturesque streets.
Happy Celebrating!
Kathryn
