Nothing impresses me more than a cake designer who can turn a white wedding cake into a work of art. It’s not easy to work with white on white. The best in the business at monochromatic cakes are The Cakegirls from Chicago. I am such a fan of their edible art that I am certain to feature their creations many times over on Australia Entertains’ Cake of the Week watch changeling in HD . Mary and Brenda Maher, the sisters behind the brand and the magnificent creations, are truly some of the world’s most imaginative and talented cake artisians around.
Here are two wonderful white on white wedding cakes that show just how splendid a monochromatic cake can be.
The trick to creating a little more interest with white on white is adding a slight tinge of grey or silver to the fondant. Just sublime. Not at all simple.
Happy Celebrating!
