One year ago, I featured a showstopping Pink Dress Cake by the amazing girls over at Pink Cake Box. The Pink Dress Cake caused a huge stir, both at Australia Entertains at at the prestigious Somerset Art Associations cake competition in New York, where it took the Showstopper Award for best of the best cake in show.
The girls have done it again with a cake inspired by a baby boy’s christening gown. Pink Cake Box decided to recreate the christening gown on a dress form. The recreation included eyelet details, little booties and a cascading blue ribbon. Inside the cake was almond cake with amaretto filling.
Christening cakes are one of the most important celebration cakes you will organise in your lifetime. Can you imagine a more lovely christening cake than this one?
