Red and Crystal Themed Wedding Ideas, Decorations and Style

Red and crystal are an elegant combination.  Red is a strong, bold choice with romantic connotations fused with the richness and sparkle of crystal.  We recently styled a stunning red and crystal themed wedding which became a feature in several wedding magazines including Cosmopolitan Bride.  The theme has become one of our favourites and the stylists at Pink Frosting have found some outstanding red and crystal themed products to help Aussie brides bring this gorgeous combination to life on their wedding day.

Setting the Scene: Stationery and Ceremony Decor

Stunning Alannah Rose regal rose stationery sets the scene for your classic rich red themed wedding.  Personalised with your wedding date, names and your wording and printed on a velvety stock, the range includes everything from invitations to save the date cards, place cards to menus.  Accessorise your gown with a ruby accented tiara headband.  Traditional rose petals (but in satin) for scattering down your rose-themed aisle are the perfect decorative accessory, particularly against a white or green aisle.  All pieces are available from the Pink Frosting online wedding shop.

Decorating and Accessorising Your Ceremony

The glamorous Garbo wedding accessory ensemble from Beverly Clark is handmade in the US, and the quality is unsurpassed.  The flowergirl basket, ring pillow and ceremony (unity) candle set is made of claret coloured satin which is draped elegantly over each design and accented by a hand-made crystal embellishment.  Complement these beautiful accessories with some bouquet jewellery - these crystals enhance a simple red rose bouquet.

Wedding Reception Decorations and Table Centrepieces

You can bling up any table with cut crystal candle holders.  These ones are one of the best selling wedding decoration and bomboniere items at Pink Frosting’s online wedding shop.  They are sold in sets of six for $47.20.  Table centrepieces can be high or low.  The low version here is a square glass vase, wrapped in layers of contrasting ribbon and filled with elegant ruby roses.  The high centrepieces are a tall glass vase filled with dyed water and enhanced with draped crystal beads.  The glamorous Garbo guest book allows your guests to record their thoughts, feelings and wishes in beautiful style.  All of these items are available from Pink Frosting’s online wedding store.

Happy Celebrating!

Kathryn
