Wedding bomboniere, bridal shower favours and baby shower favours can be just as much a part of the table decorations and overall look of the reception as flowers, settings, and linen. It is your way of saying thank you to each person attending your wedding or shower, so the presentation as well as the gift itself should reflect your intentions. Some thoughtful touches and creativity can speak volumes.  We’ve used bomboniere very creatively as table centrepieces over the years.  As part of my Bomboniere Buying Guide for Australian Brides special, here are some amazing ideas for displaying your bomboniere favours.

Take your wedding bomboniere to the next level by staggering favour bags filled with sweets on Styrofoam blocks of varying heights. The packages are set upon a copper tray beneath a stately arch of kiwi vines and orchids.  Image by Martha Stewart.

Unify your event by matching bomboniere favours to the day’s colour scheme. Mix up the offerings, and you’ll have even more opportunity to emphasise the motif. Here, soaps tied with dainty lace, candles bundled with eyelet ribbon, and doily-trimmed paper bags all reflect the black-and-white palette.  Similar bags, ribbon trims and lace tape are available from Pink Frosting if you want to recreate this look.  Image by Martha Stewart.

Water bottles are a wonderful favour idea for summer and beach weddings.  Here, guests grabbed bottles of water dressed up with labels featuring the couple’s monogram and a special message of thanks. Similar water bottle labels are available at Pink Frosting’s online wedding shop.  The chilled beverages are offered to guests before they were seated at the outdoor ceremony.  Image: The Knot.

Demure and delicate, African violets are pretty little packages and, with minimal effort, can make a dazzling display. Simply slip the potted plants into panettone molds, cluster on three-tiered plate stands or let stand solo, and tuck a handwritten note inside. Use cupcake wrappers to decorate your little pots of violets.  Image by Martha Stewart.

Miniature birds nests filled with traditional bomboniere almonds make a beautiful display at each table setting.  Recreate this look using natural mini bird nests and blue bomboniere almonds from Pink Frosting.  Image:  The Knot

They may look like the real thing, but candy pebbles in small galvanized pails are a sweet and delightful favour for an outdoor wedding or beach wedding. A note lets guests know they’re for eating. The candy shown here is marzipan and chocolate-covered dried fruit in disguise. Print your message onto paper, cut into strips, wrap around the pails’ handles, and secure with double-sided tape. Set the pails in trays filled with turbinado sugar.  These gorgeous pails are available from Pink Frosting’s online wedding bomboniere shop. Image by Martha Stewart.

Humble supplies can take on an elegant air: Monogrammed stickers and crepe paper decorate clear plastic tubes filled with candy. They’re then piled into a glass compote around a smaller compote of crepe-paper flowers. Image by Martha Stewart.

To protect your guests against the elements during an outdoor wedding ceremony, there’s no better favour than parasols.  Stack all of your guest parasols into a rustic galvanised bucket and add a hand-made sign for a natural look.  Many types of parasols are available at Pink Frosting’s online wedding parasol shop.  Image: Style Me Pretty.
